Protecting your private information is a priority at Hospice Volunteer Training Online and we will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information..

The main course site and any subsidiaries of Hospice Volunteer Training Online are specifically for training and education regarding hospice volunteer services.

Patient information is not used nor is it allowed on any of the training sites.

There is no private health information shared on our sites. Hospice Volunteer Training Online provides educational courses for potential volunteers of individual hospices using the Medicare Conditions of Participation as a guide.

We do not share or distribute personal information (including email address) of students taking courses, but it may be accessible to the administrative staff who administer the site and infrastructure. This includes hospice volunteer coordinators and managers as well as the hospice company administration and IT departments.

Collected information from “students” includes first and last name, email address and city. IP addresses are logged in order to confirm approved persons only complete the training.

Payments collected for taking the course are through Stripe and PayPal. Their privacy policies are listed on their respective websites ( and

Hospice Volunteer Training Online does not keep payment information. The information collected for payment on our site by hospice companies includes  billing name/department, address, check number and date.  Students paying individually for the course are sent to a secure PayPal site.

We may be required to share stored personal information by law. All information that you disclose in your public profile, in forum posts, comments, tracker, or other public portions of the Hospice Volunteer Training Online sites becomes public information.

IP addresses, URLs visited, and related information is recorded for all site visitors for the purpose of site traffic analytics and captured as part of normal operation in our server logs. Cookies are used to track logins, sessions, and collect anonymous traffic data.  Cookies may be blocked by reviewing instructions for your specific browser.

Students and administrative staff who have accessed the course sites may receive emails from our email service provider, MailChimp to include information pertaining to items of interest for hospice volunteers.  The information is in email format and unsubscribe information is in each mailing.

Affiliate programs may include Amazon and Udemy/Reutin in which programs and resources are made available through email, newsletters, and forums/blogs of interest to volunteers.
